- High in the Heavens the gods would have annual games involving their gifts of the elements. They would gather their powers in giant globes and roll them against each other in an arena. The elements placed in these globes would have different effects on other elements that they were being rolled against. Water would overpower fire; wind would displace earth. It was not long before the gods started combining their elements together. This is when the real chaos began. As the games continued on and the gods were rolling more and more powerful globes, the Heavens started to tremble and shake horribly. Then the ground in the arena cracked open and all of the elemental globes split apart and fell to the Earth below. The gods feared what could happen to the people below if their powers were to ever be discovered and used.
Down on Earth there was a period of terrible events. Earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, and all other kinds of earthly elemental disasters happened on a regular basis. These events were tearing the world apart. Hundreds of thousands were killed and many more injured, until one day the sky opened up and a golden light shown through, and from this light objects shot out towards the Earth. After the objects landed the people went out to find what the mysterious objects were and how they came to be on Earth.
Their discovery enraged the few that had figured out what the objects were and the location of where they came from. These few gathered up the orbs that they could find and started out on a journey. Their quest was not simple: Find as many of these orbs as they could; befriend those who had them and would join in their quest; defeat the ones who had them and wouldnt join with their efforts; and then wage war on the gods who destroyed the planet and killed their loved ones. All of this over a game of elemental marbles
